ZEEKR is a premium new energy vehicle brand known for intelligent mobility, electric performance, and design-led automotive experiences. The ZEEKR 8X continued that direction as a flagship SUV, with a launch story built around performance, intelligence, and a strong visual identity.
For this launch, our creative starting point was the vehicle itself. The front of the ZEEKR 8X features a distinctive vertical waterfall grille, giving the SUV a structured and recognizable face. We used that vertical front identity as the foundation for the event environment. The same rhythm shaped the key visual, guest journey, dome-based media, display zones, and kinetic LED stage design.
ZEEKR 8X's Vertical Front Identity
The ZEEKR 8X's front design features an integrated vertical waterfall grille, aerodynamic hood, and side air ducts. That vertical structure gave us a clear creative direction.
In automotive design, the front grille often becomes one of the most recognizable parts of a vehicle. BMW is known for its kidney grille, Lincoln for its refined front grille presence, Rolls-Royce for its Pantheon grille, and Jeep for its seven-slot grille. These front-end signatures help people recognize a brand before they even see the badge.
For the ZEEKR 8X launch, we approached the vehicle's vertical front identity in the same way. The grille motif became more than a styling detail. It became the visual cue that shaped the event environment.
The goal was to translate the vehicle's front identity into a spatial experience. The grille motif became a rhythm of slim lines, layered depth, metallic surfaces, amber light, and controlled motion. This allowed the launch environment to feel connected to the product from the first guest touchpoint.
From Key Visual to Event Environment
The key visual for the ZEEKR 8X launch was built around verticality: fine lines, glowing movement, reflective materials, and layered LED content. That visual language appeared across the full guest journey.
Design Motif Applied Across the Event Environment
- Arrival ExperienceGuests encountered a large dome-based media installation as they moved from the exterior area into the main event space
- Pre-Show Display AreasVertical graphics, reflective surfaces, and ambient light built anticipation before the main show
- Hospitality SpaceThe vertical rhythm continued into cafeteria and hospitality areas, keeping the design language consistent beyond the stage
- Booth and Vehicle DisplayReflective vertical fins echoed the front design of the vehicle, creating depth as guests moved around the car
- Main StageThe motif reached its most dramatic expression through the panoramic kinetic LED screen, where vertical rhythm became motion
How Kinetic LED Turned the Motif Into Motion
Kinetic LED stage design gave movement to the ZEEKR 8X visual language. The main stage featured a 54m Γ 13m panoramic kinetic LED screen built from 2,808 LED panels, designed and installed for the event.
Before the reveal, fine vertical textures, soft amber light, and the ZEEKR logo created a quiet sense of anticipation. As the sound intensified, the stage shifted into motion and the vehicle entered through fast-moving light trails.
The kinetic LED system shaped the sequence in two key ways. It framed the vehicleβs entrance and created layered screen depth around the car. At one point, the screen separated into layers, allowing the vehicle to move between the front and rear screen planes. This is where kinetic LED added value beyond visual scale. It helped control timing, guide attention, and turn the stage into an active part of the reveal.

The launch video shows how the kinetic LED screen moved from reveal sequence to panoramic presentation mode, and how the vehicle moved through layered media, light, and stage direction.
From Vehicle Identity to Spatial Experience
The ZEEKR 8X launch shows how kinetic LED stage design can begin with a creative idea rather than a technical requirement. By taking inspiration from the vehicle's vertical front identity, we created a connected visual system across the key visual, arrival experience, dome-based media, booth design, and main stage.
The kinetic LED screen then transformed that motif into motion, giving the reveal sequence depth, rhythm, and cinematic impact. See the full ZEEKR 8X launch event case study for creative strategy, execution details, and event highlights.

What is kinetic LED?
Kinetic LED is an LED display system designed with physical motion. Instead of remaining fixed in one position, LED screens, panels, or structures can move, divide, open, close, and re-form as part of a stage or event environment. This allows visual content to become part of the spatial choreography of a show.
What makes kinetic LED different from a standard LED screen?
Kinetic LED adds physical motion to the screen environment. It can divide, move, open, close, and re-form, allowing the stage to create spatial transitions, reveal moments, and layered visual depth around the product.
How was kinetic LED used in the ZEEKR 8X launch?
The main stage featured a 54m Γ 13m panoramic kinetic LED screen built from 2,808 panels. The screen framed the vehicle entrance, created layered depth during the reveal, and separated into planes to allow the vehicle to move between screen layers before returning to a single panoramic display.
